My clients find themselves at the crossroads of stuck and curious, and need a guide to help explore their patterns and make meaningful changes toward a fulfilling life.  Research backs up my belief that a solid relationship is what makes therapy work. I focus on compassionate collaboration with adolescents and adults to achieve wellness in the face of trauma, mental health conditions, substance use, co-occuring conditions, and life transitions. I can meet you wherever you are on your journey and we can build a relationship where it feels safe to do hard things.

Everyday struggles often have deeper roots and provide us a pathway to heal old injuries and learn new ways of being that are better adapted to life in the here and now. We work together to find the origins of what you’re struggling with, the strategies to help you manage daily life, and a vision for the future you want to create for yourself.  I integrate strengths-based treatment, mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and the exploration of life's deeper meanings. By using resources from various approaches, we find the tools best suited to support your unique path.

You will be met with empathy, compassionate challenge, and a sense of humor. I’m a visual thinker, I love a deep metaphor and a venn diagram and am committed to finding a common language for every unique brain. I will illustrate concepts in a way that makes sense (and sometimes makes it very clear why I didn’t pursue art school). I believe everyone has the power within them to create change and together we can develop strategies that foster resilience and nurture the future you want.  Starting the process is the first step in building momentum toward a new way of being.

More Details

Over the past 12 years I have worked in schools, community nonprofit agencies, and private organizations with children, adolescents, and adults doing individual counseling, team consultation, and presentations. I believe neutrality enables oppressive systems and will not take a blank slate stance.  I am a feminist, strengths based, neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed, sex positive, LGBTQIA allied, climate conscious, anti-racist, anti-colonial practitioner. Everyone is welcome exactly as they are, and please know these foundations inform my treatment approach and guide my business practices.

  • For individual therapy, I see clients virtually on Tuesday and Wednesday, and in person or virtually on Thursday.

  • In person appointments generally include the presence of a certified Therapy Dog who you can connect with as much as you are comfortable.

  • I work with people of all genders ages 16+.

  • Areas of experience include: trauma, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, relationship issues, PTSD, self esteem, phobias, life transitions, problematic substance use, and co-occurring medical issues.

  • I am in network with the some insurance companies (BCBS of VT, MVP, Cigna), however please be aware that using third party payors limits the scope and privacy of our work together. A financial resource based sliding scale is available for clients who choose to self pay.

In addition to individual therapy I currently offer clinical supervision and consultation and especially enjoy helping clinicians build and refine their own private practices.

Outside of clinical practice I enjoy being a volunteer with Therapy Dogs of VT and serving on the Board of Directors for Mosaic VT.
